We need to stop caring so much about about drugs being trafficked to this country and others and start caring about people and animals and animal parts that are being trafficked.  It makes no sense to waste so much money fighting the drug trade while on the same hand ignoring the flesh trade.

Yes, drugs can be bad.  They can be addictive.  However, those who do drugs make a choice.  Trafficked people and animals don’t.  No 13-year-old girl chooses to sell her body.  No tiger cub chooses to leave its mother to become someones pet.  No elephant wakes up expecting to be killed for its tusks.  We waste money battling a failed war on drugs while ignoring modern day slavery.

The drug war has been lost.  We can win the trafficking war.  We can stop it.
