I was on Pinterest and saw a pin that showed the most endangered animals in the world.  Some of the animals only had a few thousand left.  One type of sloth only has 30 of its species left.  There is a type of frog that had an unknown population.  It may be completely gone.

The main problem is of course habitat destruction.  Also, pouching.  I realize that people need to eat and make money, but the animals shouldn’t suffer for it.   We need to encourage the people living near these animals to protect them.  We need to teach them that pouching only brings in money for a moment, but tourism is forever.  We need to encourage sustainable farming that will allow people to eat without destroying habitat.

There needs to be zero tolerance for trading in exotic animals and their parts.  It is a tragedy when a few animals die.  When a whole species goes it is an outrage.
